JR to play Valentine’s day at Jin Mao theater
I haven’t had much time to do anything recently due to an exciting but very taxing new project.?? Sorry, I still can’t release the details, but I will do so in the next couple weeks.?? For the time being, I’m struggling to post much of anything more than a couple reminders of events and things coming up; so bear with me.?? It’s amazing that I get anything at all posted right now…
Haven’t heard much from JR recently.?? As far as I know they are still playing shows here and there, going out of town for shows pretty often.?? The upcoming Valentine’s show seems to be part of the Jin Mao theater’s increased number of jazz feature shows, along with the regular series that E-groove has been doing there for a while now.?? Their next one is coming up in January.?? The JZ All-star big band played there once, and hoped to get a regular set of shows happening too but it hasn’t happened yet…but it’s a nice little theater.?? It seems like a good place to have some jazz concerts, especially a regular series.?? Very intimate but not too tiny.?? Enjoy.

JR will be playing at the Hangzhou Jz Club on the 17th & 18th. I get those nights off which is a bit of a drag cause my boyfriend is Jay Lasry, the bass player in the band. I have been singing there 4 nights a week. I’ll be there til march 2nd.
