I was lucky enough to run into these fine musicians the other day at JZ School, where I found out that they are in town to play a concert at the Twocities gallery at M50 (50 Moganshan lu).??  It was a timely meeting also, because I happened to be short two musicians for the thursday quintet night at JZ.??  I am extremely grateful that their drummer and sax player were available and happy to fill in for the missing individuals!??  So we had a full quintet last night, and quite a fun group as well.??  The rest of their band came down and sat in also, so I can attest that they are all fine musicians.

Hailing from New York, Lolita has been to Shanghai once before to play a concert at the same gallery.??  This time she brought a band, and they will present “a night of Jazz and Gospel music” to the public starting from 7:30pm tonight (friday).??  Come down if you can, the gallery itself is fantastic also.??  They present live jazz concerts quite often, I will try and stay on top of upcoming shows more to give you a bit more notice.
